Digitalization of permaculture design and forest garden! I’m kidding :D. This was so much fun, creating an informative website about a local project whose main interest is to create sustainable living on 1 acre of land. We worked with Diana, whose illustrations made this website just perfect.
Task
Creating a one-page website with beautiful illustrations from Diana
Providing information but also getting constant engamgement of users brings a challenge: how to get viewers to subscribe?
The focus was on getting users’ emails on the mailing list to continue communication on a weekly basis.
Our main focus was to tell the story of the Sun & Moon garden and bring useful information to their viewers. We wanted to bring this information to life with unique illustrations that tell the story of this project.
Giving out information was crucial, and we used a clean look with strong and big headlines to emphasize all the important stuff.

Faded white
We wanted to portray the website as a forest, hence we used green and brown colors to bring about the feeling of a tree. Because the site’s focus is on providing information, pastel green made the bold brown font stand out.
The background has this faded white look with lots of grain! We used grain to bring about an analog feeling, which we felt was a great punch to the whole digital side of the site.

Headline
This time we wanted the headline and body font to be super similar but to also feel the difference in design. We achieved this by using Space Grotesk with Roboto.

Body
We love Roboto as it is super easy to read and it is not as wide as some clean fonts. This was an excellent choice for adding a clean read to the site.
